Via Certosa 80073 - Capri (NA)

Certosa di San Giacomo was built in 1371 at the behest of Count Giacomo Arcucci with the favour of Queen Joan I of Anjou.The plant is typically fourteenth century, despite the fact that the structure was expanded and transformed between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries. After the suppression of the religious institution in 1806, the structure has been devoted over time to various activities.Since 1975 the Refectory has housed the museum dedicated to the German painter K. W. Diefenbach. For several years it has hosted cultural events of international importance.
