The duke’s lodge

This artefact is a rural house called "Casino del Duca (the duke’s lodge)" , located in San Martino Valle Caudina, a small town near the city of Avellino. It dates from the 18th century based on the building analogy with similar buildings and ascribed to local workers. The artefact has a rectangular layout built with a bearing tuff masonry. It consists of a ground floor, a first floor, and an attic, and a double pitched roof with terracotta tiles. The first floor is currently used as a private home, while the ground floor is used as an animal shelter. The whole building is in quite good conditions, although the rendering is detached from the walls in some parts.
