Mulino Pisaniello

Piazza XX Settembre - San Martino Valle Caudina (AV)

The artefact shown here is a water mill called "Mulino Pisaniello", located in San Martino Valle Caudina, a small town near the city of Avellino. This structure was built by local workers in 1864, as can be deducted from an inscription found on the site. The building consists of a ground floor and a first floor, built in stone masonry, and a wooden double pitched internal ceiling, finished with roman roof tiles. There is a winding staircase in barycentric position inside that connects the two levels. The whole mill is in good conditions.
