The relationship with the Mediterranean related to political and, to some extent, trade, routes to some extent lies on the background of cultural and artistic exchanges of the populations flourishing along this Sea. This never-ending blend of cultures is significantly witnessed in the Campania region by the works exposed in this collection, selecting them from different historical periods, cultures and reigns: from the Greeks to the Romans, from the Normans to the Swabians, from the Angevins to the Spanish.
